Durante los últimos tres meses he estado en la ciudad de Kansas, en la casa internacional de oración. Ha sido un gran gozo y bendición para mi personalmente. Durante este tiempo he experimentado varios tiempos extensos de oración. Te invito a que lo hagas parte de tu vida con Dios. Te darás cuenta de que no es tan dificil como crees. Si no tienes el tiempo disponible ahora mismo, haz que sea medio día. Depende de tu situacion personal. Conozco un líder cristiano que pasa una semana cada trimestre en oración personal y meditación. Esperaremos incesantemente en Dios y nos convertiremos en un testimonio a nuestros hermanos creyentes de lo que Dios hará en ellos y en nosotros.”

  • Para evaluación personal de tu vida ante el Señor – Al pasar tiempo extendido con el Señor, puedes evaluar personalmente tu vida, llevar tus intereses a lo que realmente importa, y edificar esas areas que necesitan ser fortalecidas.
  • Para ayuda para tomar decisiones importantes – Dios tiene todo el conocimiento y sabiduría y conoce el mejor camino para todos nosotros. Pasar tiempo con Él te dará revelación celestial para cada decisión importante en tu vida.
  • Para la preparación al ministerio – No hay mejor forma para prepararse para el ministerio que pasar tiempos extendidos con DIos, que es el autor y proveedor de todos nuestros servicios. Él sabe exactamente para que te ha hecho, y puede prepararte de forma que le des la máxima gloria.

Como Prepararse para un Dia en Oración

Quieres confesar tus pecados al Señor, y tomar tiempo para escribir tus pensamientos. Recuerdo cuando mi sobrina rubia de cuatro años Madeline estaba de vacaciones con su padre. Era un momento emocionante para volar a solas con papá, visitando familiares y experimentando la vida en Minesota. Tuve el privilegio de verla interactuar con mi hermano, Jeff, durante una semana.

Mientras analizaba cuidadosamente la relación de Madeline con su padre, no podia remediar compararla con nuestra relación con Dios, nuestro Padre celestial.

Madeline tiene una particular confianza en la vida – No teme probar cosas nuevas – le encanta trepar con valor el arbol que hay fuera de la casa de mis padres mientras su padre la mira. Fuimos al Mall of America, el complejo comercial mas grande de Estados Unidos, y vimos como con valor se montaba en las atracciones que mas miedo daban en el complejo con su padre. Se fiaba de él totalmente y sujetaba su mano cuando iban de atraccion a atracción. Es confiada, no tiene ansiedad, y entra en cada día con gozo y celo. Me llenó de energía y emocionaba mi corazón el mirarla. Senti un avivamiento de alguna forma especial. Fue un poquito como tocar el cielo.

Su padre es bueno con ella. La escucha, razona con ella, y está allí para ayudarle en sus subidas y bajadas en la vida. Estas vacaciones fueron muy importantes para ella porque eran un tiempo extenso de relación personal con su padre. Esto fue muy especial porque él estaba con ella y los asuntos de ella.

Esto se parece mucho a nuestra relación con Dios. Nuestra oración personal es asi de significante. Dios no puede esperar para que nosotros pasemos tiempo con Él. De la misma forma que mi hermano disfruta su tiempo apartado con Madeline, Dios disfruta de nosotros.

Él te recompensará por pasar tiempos extensos en oración. Definitivamente, volveras como una persona enriquecida con un rebosar de Su amor y vida que brilla a través de ti. Dios te ayudará a crecer en tu gozo, confianza, y celo por la vida. He disfrutado muchisimo el tiempo extra que he pasado en oración personal. Definitivamente cambia mi perspectiva. Me siento como si estuviera tocando el cielo. Y sé que hará lo mismo para ti.

Serás una persona con pasión para una sola cosa, Dios en sí.
