Que importante es, con los retos de hoy en día y con el incremento de las dificultades del mundo, que rodeemos a los pastores y líderes de ministerio y sus familias con oración constante. Es difícil ser pastor en la iglesia hoy. Con frecuencia la autoridad de un líder es retada y criticada. Un pastor puede verse luchando con baja auto estima y con el ser comparado con otros líderes bien conocidos. Puede encontrar difícil el conseguir lo que es mejor para la iglesia debido a la falta de compromiso de su congregación. Un pastor de hoy en día tiene que intentar llevar a su iglesia en medio de los constantes cambios del mundo. Las familias están bajo ataque espiritual y su propia familia puede estar luchando. Es fácil desanimarse, las relaciones pueden ser difíciles, y las propias necesidades de un pastor pueden pasar sin ser cubiertas.
La oración por los pastores es vital porque Satanas trae los ataques más grandes contra aquellos en liderazgo espiritual. Los pastores se enfrentan a luchas diarias como todos los demás. Algunos tienen luchas en sus matrimonios e incluso con pornografia. La revista ‘Leadership’ (Liderazgo) en diciembre del 2001 informó que el 37% de los pastores dicen que la pornografia de internet es una lucha contínua, y 4 de cada 10 pastores han visitado un sitio de pornografia. El Instituto del Crecimiento de la Iglesia en el Seminario Fuller condujo un estudio sobre los pastores en 1991, y estos fueron los resultados: el 75% reportó tener crisis en su ministerio relacionado con el estrés, el 90% trabajan mas de 46 horas semanales, el 80% siente que el ministerio ha afectado a sus familias de forma negativa, el 90% se sienten que su entrenamiento es inadecuado para las demandas de su trabajo, el 70% no tenía un amigo intimo, y el 70% afirmaba tener su auto estima más baja ahora que cuando empezaron.

Mantenimiento de tus intercesores, etc
Cómo Orar por los Pastores
“¿Hasta que punto la oración por el predicador ayuda a la predicación? Le ayuda a él personalmente y oficialmente. Le ayuda a mantener una vida justa; le ayuda a preparar su mensaje; y ayuda a la Palabra que predica a correr hacia su meta predefinida, sin estorbos ni tropiezos. Una iglesia que ora crea una atmósfera espiritual que favorece la predicaci-ón… hace de la predicación una labor fácil; permite a la palabra correr con rapidez y sin fricción, empujada por el calor de almas comprometidas en la oración.” E. - Ora por su intimidad con Dios – Ora pidiendo que tu pastorande en santidad yque Dios le de revelación espiritual.
- Ora por su predicación y enseñanza – Ora pidiendo mensajes ungidos y para que prediquen con valor y coraje.
- Ora por su liderazgo – Ora pidiendo favor con otros en liderazgo y que Dios les enseñe cómo liderar tu iglesia. Pide que la gente siga su liderazgo con entusiasmo.
- Ora por su ejemplo y sabiduría divina – Pide en oración que sean buenos ejemplos en habla, vida amor, fe, y pureza (I Timoteo 4:12). Pide un aumento de visión,sabiduría y guia.
- Ora por su salud – Ora por su bien estar fisico, espiritual y emocional. Pide a Dios que los sostenga con Su poder. El liderazgo conlleva enormes exigencias.
- Ora por su protección – Ora pidiendo protección de las tentaciones de Satanás, de las decepciones, desanimo, etc.
- Ora por su vida familiar – Pide en oración que tu pastor tenga tiempo de calidad con su esposa e hijos. Las esposas y los hijos están con frecuencia bao ataque y necesitan oración.
- Ora por la esposa de tu pastor – Pide por su intimidad con el Señor, relaciones de calidad en las que pueda compartir sus propias luchas y gozos, su propio sentido del llamado y su confianza en ello, su equilibrio entre necesidades de la familia y el ministerio, y que su corazón cobre animo. Su trabajo no es fácil, y ella necesita de tus oraciones.
